Kettle Girls
The Kettle Girls - so called because of the cry "shall we put the kettle on?"
whenever they meet - are: Jenny Lock, Ilona Stretch and Heather Bexon.
A good half of their songs are performed a cappella, and their interesting blend
of harmonies (just like the tea they drink!) may well tickle your aural fancy,
the other half being accompanied by guitar,electric bass and sometimes
accordion. Their repertoire ranges from traditional folk through a bit of lightweight jazz
to contemporary covers, their favoured band being Fascinating Aida.
