Roy Mette
This time last year, you might not have heard of Roy Mette. As we said at the time: Shame. Because he's good - very good.
Roy’s set at the 2006 festival was so successful that we asked him to come back again, so this year you can have the pleasure of anticipation!
A guitarist, singer and songwriter, Roy stems from what became known as the Thames Delta blues scene during the Seventies. His music covers a range of acoustic styles in contemporary, folk and blues styles.
Having been a performer for more than 25 years, Roy plays many clubs throughout the UK and has been invited to perform at a growing number of festivals; his bookings for 2006 included Leigh on Sea Folk, Shetland Blues, Dundee Blues Bonanza, Colne R & B, Boogaloo Blues Weekend at Alvaston and the Burnley Blues festival.
Roy’s website, which covers all his material including electric music and the history of his rock bands from the 70s as well as his folk music, can be found at www.roymette.co.uk.
Roy also has a myspace site at www.myspace.com/roymette.
