As well as hosting the Steamboat Folk Weekend, the Steamboat Tavern hosts a
range of other musical events, not least of which is the folk session, which
regularly attracts singers, instrumentalists and listeners from all over East
Anglia.
The folk session is held on the last Thursday of each month (not necessarily the
4th), starting at around 8pm. It can get quite crowded, so if you’re bringing guitars or other big instruments it’s worth getting there early!
The Steamboat also hosts regular jazz sessions, which take place at lunchtime on
the last Sunday of each month, and is a regular venue for many local bands
ranging from pop to punk.
